Ewa Pobłocka graduated from the St. Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. She is a laureate of the competitions in Vercelli, Bordeaux and Warsaw. She performed in almost every European country as well as in both Americas, Singapur, Korea, Japan and Austria. Her partners in the concerts were orchestras from England, USA, Italy, Germany, Austria and Poland. She made recordings for many radios and record companies both in Poland and abroad. Her record with “Piano concert” of W. Lutosławski was the “Record of the 1996 Year”. Ewa Pobłocka was rewarded with the John Field Medal for the recording of 20 “Nokturns” of Field. Her latest recording are “Nocturns” of Chopin, “Songs” of Karłowicz with Jadwiga Rappé (FRYDERYK’98), “Piano Concerts” of Andrzej Panufnik, Witold Lutosławski and Paweł Szymański with the National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Kazimierz Kord (the Record of the 1998 Year, FRYDERYK’98), “Songs” of Chopin, Moniuszko, Karłowicz, Szymanowski and Lutosawski with Ewa Podleś, as well as Mazurki and Fantasy on the Polish themes op. 2 of F. Chopin with Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra conducted by Jacek Kasprzyk. Hes lates CD – “Partit” of J. S. Bach and “Nocturns” of Faure – were recorded for the first time in Poland. Ewa Pobłocka also performs chamber music in cooperation with Jadwiga Rappé, Ewa Podleś, Olga Pasiecznik and the Silesian Quartet. She has been a professor of the piano class at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.
