THE 11th INTERNATIONAL PADEREWSKI PIANO COMPETITION

BYDGOSZCZ

November 10th – 24th, 2019

The Competition is open to pianists of all nationalities, born between 1987-2003.

The Competition is organized to commemorate Ignacy Jan Paderewski, a remarkable pianist, virtuoso, composer, politician and statesman.

 

The schedule:

April 20th, 2019 – final deadline of submitting written applications

April 20th, 2019 – deadline for pianists to cover entrance fee

April 30 th, 2019 –  candidates are informed about the acceptance of their application or about the invitation to the preliminary audition

May 2019 – the preliminary auditions

June 15th, 2019 – deadline of sending the DVD recordings of the preliminary repertoire (accepted only in particularly important cases)

July 30th, 2019 –  announcement of the final list of the candidates, invited to take part in the Competition

September 15th, 2019 – no changes of the repertoire will be accepted past this date

November 9th, 2019 – Competition participants’ arrival in Bydgoszcz

November 10th, 2019 – Orientation Meeting and the drawing of the performances order

November 10th, 2019 – Inaugural Concert

November 11th, 2019 – Beginning of I stage audition

November 14th, 2019 – Announcement of stage I results

November 15th, 2019 – Beginning of stage II auditions

November 17th, 2019 – Announcement of stage II results

November 18th, 2019 – Day off – rehearsals with chamber orchestra (Semi-finalists)

November 19th, 2019 – Beginning of the Semi-final audition

November 20th, 2019 –Announcement of the Semi-final results

November 21st, 2019 – Day off – rehearsals with orchestra (Finalists)

November 22nd – 23th, 2019 – Final of the Competition

November 24th, 2019 – Closing Ceremony

Nevember 24th, 2019 – Announcement of the Prize winners & the presentation of the Awards

November 24th, 2019 – Prize Winners’ Concert

November 24th , 2019 – Presentation of the Additional Prizes

November 25th, 2019 – I, II and III Prize Winners’ Concert in the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw.
