MICHAŁ KAROL SZYMANOWSKI - a Polish pianist and conductor. Graduated from the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where he studied piano with Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, symphonic-operatic conducting under Zygmunt Rychert and with Eldar Nebolsin at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. Laureate of the many national and international piano competitions. including: Performed in many concerts across Europe and throughout the world, including the USA< Brasil, Argentina, Wenesuela, Japan and Korea. Performed under such eminent conductors as: Alfredo Rugeles, Medardo Caisabanda, Juri Gilbo, Jacek Kaspszyk, Antoni Wit, Grzegorz Nowak and Marek Pijarowski. Released two solo albums for CD Accord (Naxos), featuring compositions by Fryderyk Chopin, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Karol Szymanowski and Józef Wieniawski.
The first recording of the discovered Menuet in G minor, Mazurka in G major and other early piano miniatures by I. J. Paderewski is possible thanks to co-financed by the Minister of Culture & National Heritage of Republic of Poland from the Fund of the Promotion of Culture as part of the “Musical trace” program, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance received by Towarzystwo Muzyczne im IJ Paderewskiego w Bydgoszczy.
