A Korean pianist, born in 1996. She is currently studying at the University of Music and Theatre »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy« in Leipzig and at the University of Music and Theatre Munich. She is a scholarship recipient of the Elfrun-Gabriel Foundation and the Sächsische Landesstipendium. She has won numerous awards, including Third Prize at the Maj Lind International Piano Competition, as well as prizes at the Jacob Flier International Piano Competition, Munich Steinway Competition, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Hochschulwettbewerb, Tallinn International Piano Competition, Bösendorfer USASU International Piano Competition, Shigeru Kawai International Piano Competition, and the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. She has performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Konzerthaus Berlin, Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn, and Seoul Arts Center, and has given concerts in Korea, Norway, Germany, Russia, and Israel. Kim has collaborated with numerous orchestras, including Konzerthaus Berlin, Estonia National Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, State Symphony Orchestra of the Russian Federation „Novaya Russia,” Musikalische Komödie Leipzig, Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, Gunpo Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, and Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2024, her recording of Scriabin’s 12 Etudes Op. 8 and Ravel’s Miroirs was released under the auspices of the Internationale Stiftung zur Förderung von Kultur und Zivilisation.
